Wowhead Hunter Guide

Wowhead has released their Hunter guide for new players. I say "new players" ,because the information in the guide will be in best use for people who have never played Huntet in WOW. The guide also includes some things that can be of use to older hunters so you should check it out for yourself.

I'm going to add the guide in my Guides page.

The best Hunter ?

Hello citizens of Azeroth. This post is just a question that I want to ask you. It is very interesting to me what do you think about that question and I hope that you'll let me know what is your opinion.

So the question is...

Which is the best hunter in WOW ?
/hunters from which race are the best?/

Is it a Dwarf hunter....

..or maybe a Night elf hunter...

...or a Troll hunter.. ?

It is very interesting to me what do you think and why you would choose some hunters over others.

Please let me know what you think :)

Scattered Shots: How to play a boosted level 90 hunter ?

So after the post about why you should boost a Hunter with the 90 lvl boots, now it's time to talk about how you should play such a character. Playing a boosted hero is like starting a new character , but much more stressful. You'll have tons of spells, talents, glyphs, pets etc. The next post I'm going to share is once again from Scatteret shots and it's like a guide for boosted hunters. I also recommend it to new hunters which won't use the boost.

"Do you still need convincing on why you should boost a hunter to 90? Go check out my 10 reasons why from last week. So you've got a fresh level 90 hunter in front of you -- what now? What are all these abilities? How do pets work? We've got answers for all that. Without the benefit of having abilities and mechanics slowly introduced while leveling, you might be a little confused when you first log in. Don't fret, you'll be turning monsters into pin cushions and taming an army of pets in no time." Read more.

Scattered Shots: 10 reasons to use your level 90 boost on a hunter

Great post in Scattered shots about 90lvl boost on a hunter. In other words, this is a guide for instant 90 lvl hunters. I suggest this post to all new hunters, even if they don't use the boost.

"As you may have heard, Warlords of Draenor will be available for pre-order soon, and with each purchase comes one free level 90 boost. Still wondering which class you should use your boost on? I'm here to make your decision a whole lot easier. Here are 10 reasons why you should use your level 90 boost on a hunter." Read more.

That's the Spirit !

Spirit beasts are one of the things that attract hunters to play the BM spec. I'm not a Spirit beast fanatic, but I like them a lot. I even have few of them. But I have to admit that I've killed Skoll few years ago....for the achievement of course.

I know that there are many guides/posts/articles about Spirit beasts, but the truth is that I don't have one. That's why I'm making this short post about them.I hope that my view will be useful to you.

Spirit beasts are part of the Ferocity pet family. They have number of abilities that could be very useful in many situations. This combination of abilities makes them ideal for PVP and for PVE.

Spirit Beast abilities:

There are nine spirit beasts(three different colors for the porcupine) to choose from. All are rare spawns and some even have elaborate taming processes like Ban'thalos.

Ankha is one of the spirit cats that wander around in Mount Hyjal. The important thing about her is that you need to remove all of you armor because of her Spirit Claw ability.

Arcturis is the only bear spirit beast. He has very small and specific spawn place in Grizzly Hills and for me he is quite easy to get, if you check the spawn place regularly. Arcturis doesn't have any special abilities and thats why you don't need any tactic for taming him.

Ban'thalos in a owl spirit beast and he can be found in  Mount Hyjal. As this is one of the trickiest pets to tame, I will give you a link to video guide. I found this video based on it's views ,but you can check out youtube for other methods. Video guide HERE.

There are three different spirit porcupine models. Degu is the red colored spirit porcupine. He can be found at the Krasarang Wilds. The key information here is that Degu must be below 30% to be tamed. The best tactic for him is kitting, because he hits very, very hard. This information is also applied for the other spectral porcupines - Gumi and Hutia.
Location.
Gumi is the Blue version of the spirit porcupines. He can be found in Kun-Lai Summit. The tactic for him is the same as the tactic for Degu.
Location.
Hutia is the green spirit porcupine. He or she can be found in The Jade Forest. The different thing here is that Hutia has a heal ability called -Spirit Heal , but it's interruptible.

Ghostcrawler is a spirit crab beast found in the Abyssal Depths. Because he is also a tricky pet to tame, I'm going to post a link to a video guide for taming him. Check out the video guide HERE.

Gondria is a purple skinned spirit cat. She can be found in Zul'Drak and she is only 77lvl. That's why you won't have any problems taming her if you are above 80lvl.

Karoma is one of the two spirit wolfs that can be tamed. The skin of Karoma is the same model as the shaman spirit wolf. She can be tamed in the  Twilight Highlands.

Loque'nahak is the first spirit beast (I'm not 100% sure about that, but I think that I've read it somewhere). He can be found in the  Sholazar Basin ,but he has multiple spawn places and he is part of the rare achievement. This makes him very hard to get.

Magria is the last of the spirit cats that can be tamed. She shares spawning place with Ankha (in Mount Hyjal). Magria also share the tactic- "important thing about her is that you need to remove all of you armor because of her Spirit Claw ability."

Skoll is the other spirit wolf that we can use for a pet. He spawns at The Storm Peaks. You won't need any tactic for him, but you should act fast, because he usually is killed/tamed very fast by the lots of people who wander The Storm Peaks looking for the Time Lost Proto-drake.

So this is the short info-post about the spirit beast that can be tamed in WOW. I think that this can be useful for every new hunter, who is thinking about becoming a beast master. The good thins is that now in MoP we can stable up to 50 pets and this gives us the chance to gather all of the spirit beast, while still keeping our other pets.

I really hope that in Warlords of Draenor, there will be something new for us hunters. Maybe some of the new things will be more tamable spirit beasts. I hope so ! I also hope that you find this post useful and interesting.

If you have a favorite spirit beast feel free to share it with me in the comments below.

Pet of the month - Rexy (Devilsaur)

I don't have many pets ,but I love and use all of them. This is the reason why I'm going to make posts named "Pet of the month". I will talk about one of my pet, why and how do I use it.

My first post will be about Rexy - my Devilsaur. He was my first exotic pet and I can say that since I play BM in PVP, he is my favorite pet for PVP.

Here are some facts about devilsaurs:
Devilsaur are a family of exotic Ferocity pets in World of Warcraft. Devilsaur, through use of their  Terrifying Roar ability, can increase the critical strike chance of all party and raid members by 5%. This makes them a good choice in raids when player-provided buffs such as Leader of the Pack or  Honor Among Thieves are not available. They also have a special exotic ability,  Monstrous Bite, which reduces the effectiveness of any healing received by the target by 10% for 8 seconds, like  Mortal Strike.

Abilities:

I believe that every BM hunter has his Rexy, because devilsaurs are so awesome.
To Rexy I want to say - Thank you for the monstrous support through all those battles !

50 reasons hunters are better than every other class (Scattered Shots)

I know that with this post I will provoke a lot of you, but for me our class is very unique and different.  I found that old post on Scattered shots and I thought that it will be very nice to share why Hunters are better than every other class. I hope that you will agree with Brian Wood and me, and even if you don't feel free to share your opinion in the comments below.

"1.Any raid buff that matters, hunters can bring. In fact, those vital raid buffs are so trivial a thing to us that we delegate the task of bringing any raid buff you need to our pets.
2.Ghostcrawler thinks that hunters are just awesome.
3.Hunters are uncommonly good-looking.
4.Hunters are not warlocks.
5.Hunters can kite like the wind, like some scion of Hermes, like a paragon of speed and skill. We can keep our targets slowed indefinitely while boosting our speed and DPSing the entire time. We can kite multiple targets; we can kite in circles or sideways.
6.Hunters can stealth, too.
7.Hunters can solo an amazing variety of content that was never meant to be defeated by a single character. While we enjoy the company of the support classes, we don't need them.
8.Hunters shoot things. I mean, come on.
9.Hunters can combat rez: FD + jumper cables.
10.Hunters have a better community of players and resources than any other class. Our class is filled with awesome players and researchers who don't just have mad skills, but they freely share their knowledge with other hunters. We have Zeherah and Mania and Kripparrian, and the list goes on and on. In fact, our community is so awesome that we need to dedicate an entire post just to that. Maybe with a video. And a song.
11.Hunters can look like predator.
12.It's impossible to stay angry at a hunter. We have tranq shot.
13.Hunters have pets, a stable of 50 of them in a myriad of shapes and sizes and colors. The world is our pet store. Though we may travel to the ends of the land and beyond the Dark Portal, across the snows of Northrend and through the Maelstrom itself, a hunter is never alone.
14.Chicks dig pets.
15.Hunters don't have to stare at a boss' butt cheek or have our view marred by silly explosions or convoluted raid frames. Every fight is a cinematic panorama laid out before us, a feast for our eyes.
16.Hunters have lower repair bills than you.
17.Tracking. Once you play with tracking, you'll never be able to truly enjoy any other class.
18.Beer, bullets, beards.
19.Hunters can tank too. I don't know why you think it's so hard -- even our pets can do it.
20.Hunter pets can breathe fire. Yours is an authenticator.
21.Hunters are not death knights.
22.Any buff you have, hunters can take away.
23.Every weapon in the game was designed for hunters. Yes, even maces. We give them to our pets to play with.
24.Hunters have an unstoppable in-game army, the WHU guild, who experience the true meaning of epic.
25.Hunters have flare, which can instantly remove the primary advantage of pesky rogues and feral druids.
26.Hunters have only one shot that has a cast time. We can cast that one on the move, too.
27.Leveling for a hunter is a joyous expression of our ability to wreak death and devastation. We can run through a zone, tag everything in it, set our pets to tanking it while we grab more to finish off at our leisure. You could almost say hunters were built for leveling, if it weren't for the evident fact that we were so clearly built for doing everything else too.
28.Hunters don't allow gnomes.
29.Hunters don't even need to be within range of you or even be able to see you to kill you. We just give the command to our pets and continue to sip our mai tais.
30.Dinosaurs.
31.In addition to good looks and brilliant minds, hunters are incredibly humble.
32.Hunters don't care about threat. In fact, why don't you have it instead?
33.Hunters have literally tamed Ghostcrawler.
34.Hunters have transcended mana(now focus). We never run out of our resource, and we never have to stop shooting.
35.Hunters can interrupt.
36.Hunters can CC anything that your class can CC, or any other class. We can probably do it for longer, too. Oh, and we can also CC that other guy at the same time. And that one too. You know ... Why are you guys even here?
37.Hunters have three specs. All three can out-DPS you.
38.Jump-Disengage. It's like Blink, only awesomely badass.
39.Hunters are irresistible to female discipline priests.
40.Hunters can make you move faster. If you piss us off, we can move faster without helping you.
41.Hunters don't have any reason to have to level archaeology. You poor saps.
42.Hunters are not ret pallies.
43.Getting hit capped is so easy for hunters, we reforge that pesky excess hit rating away.
44.Hunters are the only class that actually pew pews. That leaves only QQ for the rest.
45.Dancing pets.
46.Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes? Because we're f'ing hunters!
47.Studies have proven that hunters have a higher IQ than any other class. (source)
48.Remember those murlocs that used to own you when you were little? We killed them and wear their skinned pelts.
49.Hunters can heal, too. I don't know why you think it's so hard -- even our pets can do it.
50.Hunters Rhok out with our Loks out."

I hope that you agree with the post and you had fun reading it. For the full post in Scattered Shots click HERE.

What is the best pet ?

I know that this video is very old, but I saw it today and I need to post it in my blog ! You know that I'm a hunter, but there are people who just need to learn more and this awesome funny video it exactly about that.
